Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, deployment, and evaluation of proprietary portfolio models
  • Serve as technical resource for investment/portfolio-related inquiries by internal teams
  • Supervise and mentor analysts and associates on the Investment Management team
  • Lead quarterly/annual/ad hoc meetings with clients to review client portfolios, performance, and help develop strategies and custom investment solutions as necessary
  • Serve as a contributing member of the investment committee in reviewing and evaluating investment ideas, trends, and strategies across all asset classes
  • Assist senior leadership with evaluation of prospective clients’ existing portfolios and present recommendations for enhancement
  • Responsible for coordination of firm-wide portfolio rebalances and tax-loss harvesting projects
  • Assist in recruitment and evaluation of analysts and associates on the investment management team
  • Manage consolidated reporting portal and workflows
  • Evaluate alternative investments and supervise AI subscription and performance tracking

Requirements

  • Must have a very strong background in public and private markets, with superior investment management skills to help with strategic asset allocation, tactical asset allocation, and alternative investment due diligence
  • 10+ years of experience in investment management either in private wealth management or single/multi-office
  • 5+ years of experience managing people, risk portfolios and fundamental and technical analyses
  • Deep knowledge of equity, fixed income, options, and derivatives trading and strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, and CFA, CIMA, MBA or other advanced degrees are preferred
  • Sophisticated experience with Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg terminal are required and working knowledge of Addepar is preferred
  • Strong quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to plan, initiate, and execute complex financial and analytical reviews
  • Actively identifies, researches, and evaluates new investment opportunities for possible selection to satellic portfolios (e.g., hedging and opportunistic portfolios)
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments affecting the public and private markets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail-oriented, strong sense of ownership, enjoys a fast-paced environment, dedicated team player and genuine desire to help elevate junior team members
  • Proven leadership and management ability up and down an organization as a key player and coach
  • Experience with Schwab Advisor Center is a plus
