Mara Mahana, Esq.

Mara serves as Syon Capital’s Estate Planning Specialist, where she provides personalized estate and wealth planning education and advice to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, taking into account their individual needs and circumstances. She works closely with clients to align their values, goals, and objectives with their financial and wealth decisions.

She has 20 years of experience in the legal field, most recently as an equity partner with a national law firm in San Francisco before entering the field of wealth planning. For the entirety of Mara’s legal career, she advised clients on wealth preservation, estate and gift tax planning, asset protection, and all aspects of trust and probate administration.

Mara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Davis School of Law

In her free time, Mara enjoys exploring history and art, and has a passion for languages—speaking six to varying degrees, including French and Japanese.
